Did playing hard to get pay off? ?

I have liked this guy for over a year we are still friends and everything. Back then when I use to seem him at his work I would always have to be the one to say Hi first. He told me one night that he didn't want a relationship and he heard that I was telling people that I did I played it cool and said Ok i don't want one either. After that I started to not really ignore him but I didn't pay that much attention to him. About 3 months have ped since all that happened and whenever I see him now he is the first to say hi instead of me being the first one too. one day he was working and my friend and i went to McDonald's this was about a month ago he was walking to the dumpster to throw some stuff away and he seen me and he leaned against the door to open it for me he was about to drop the stuff and he asked me how I was doing. My friend said I think that boy might like you I said that's the boy I told you I liked. About a week ago I seen him again I saw someone in McDonald's that I knew so I walked over to talk to them. Tiffany saw him and was talking to him and when he was talking to my friend he kept saying my name and tiffany said hey he is trying to talk to you. So i went over to talk to him. Its just weird he was never trying to get my attention like that before. Do you think that since I played hard to get that he is starting to like me now?
