Looking for Alaska or The Hunger Games?

What is looking for alaska about? and is the hunger games better ? I like a mix of genres in a book but I like romance too (true love - no cheating just one girl and one guy trying hard to be together or something like that) But I like a mix of genres too. Any help? tks
