Is the xbox 360 ellite as crapy as its original predecessor?

I have bene having some MAJOR problems with my origonal 360, im on my 4th one! 1st new 360 i brought home, i was so frickin exited, i hook it up and oh....3 flashing ring of lights never even saw the dashboard, now does anyone know if the Elite is any better?
