I would move on because he must know you like him that much and he loves the power trip. If you did everything you could then this person must not be worth it because you seem like great girlfriend material plus he might hate commitment. Just try not to dwell on this I used to do that and wonder why certain people didn't like me but I feel it was meant to be and use it as a learning experience.
